Although there's a lot you might already know about Sascha's achievements, there's also quite a things you might not know.

Sascha is a twin - yes, there's two of him - aaaargh!

Sascha recently married his long-term partner and fellow world-class swimmer Nyree Lewis MBE, in a small ceremony in Las Vegas. Their first child, Ella Rhiannon Kindred, was born in June 2011. Nyree has won a total of nine Paralympic medals at three Paralympic Games.

He appeared on BBC TV show Question of Sport in February 2010 and was on the winning team with Matt Dawson and Iain Dowie.

He appeared on Celebrity Mastermind for The Fire Fighters Charity, answering questions on his specialist subject - Manchester United FC 1990-2010.

Sascha still holds the junior record the 100m Breastroke; his favourite event. He set the record of 1:32.84 seconds when he was 17.

Before becoming a swimming superstar, Sascha was a excelled in athletics too, holding the British record in the long jump when he was just 15 years old.

Sascha and Amir Kahn were the first two people to sign the London 2012 flag at the 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Victory Parade.

Sascha was born in Germany in a small town called Greven near to Muenster. He moved over to England with his twin Timo and his mother Beatrice at the age of 3.

Sascha enjoys playing craps. He's so good that he's returned from Las Vegas a winner four times. Once a winner, always a winner!

Sascha's supporters now have a chant which goes a little something like this: "Su-per, Super Sash, Su-per, Super Sash, Su-per, Super Sash, Super Sascha Kindred."
